- Dying Flowers
8-9
Session:
''Huff huff,'' the panting flowers were as weak as an Australian soldier in a prison. No clean water and no sunlight. There was a raging fan blowing just 40 centimetres away.
'' Too...much...air...'' whispered the weakest and quietest flower of all. This flower was just a normal white flower but had a unique story. He kept thinking if he is the smartest, why can't he be the king of flowers? Besides the present king didn't help the poor flower citizens of jar city. With everyone screaming outside, the king in his palace was lazy. The fan outside the jar was getting closer as a giant lady from outside pushed it. You could see the evil fan coming with its many arms, going in circles. In the jar hospital, the white flower mentioned before looked through the windows seeing the fan coming closer.
''Buzz buzz!'' The loud yell of the evil fan spread across the city but couldn't reach the king's secure castle. The weak flower hopped out of the hospital bed and tried to stop the fan from reaching his beloved village but unfortunately got shredded up to pieces leaving the fan broken.
A giant girl stared at the fan yelling,'' Mum, I think the mini fan is broken!''
The remaining flowers expected to die but realised the fan stopped. They also realised the white flower was missing! Sad that he hadn't treated him so nicely, the king felt sorry for the dead flower. However, there was no need to cry! A giant man had fixed the fan and the seeds from the flower blew into the jar making new flowers! The next day the flowers noticed they were put outside to stop them from dying. The king kept the reborn white flower in his palace so everyone could honour him for his bravery. Every year there was a holiday called Bravery Day. You may not find it on your calendar, but in the flower calendar, it's the most special holiday in the year. The reborn flower hopes for a better future in the jar village.
