I woke up suddenly to a blast of fire. Rolling onto my side, I sat up in bed and shifted the sheets and blankets off my body. Yawning and stretching, I tucked my feet into my fluffy slippers. I stood up and made my way to the bathroom. Rubbing my eyes, I just stood there staring into the mirror. Slowly, I turned the tap handle toward the warmer side and washed my dry, smoked face.
My parents called for me to come downstairs and change into my school uniform. I slid down the stairs on the railing. Suddenly, my pet dragon came flying downstairs straight towards me. I dove down to save myself, and it swerved towards the living room.
I walked into the living room and saw a sight that amazed me incredibly: my pet dragon was now breathing ice.
Other ways my pet dragon changes:
- Transform from a lion to an eagle, snake or badger
- and turn invisible to stay out of human eyes.
After I finished changing, I made my way to the dining room. I got the milk from the fridge and reached high for the cereal box at the top of the cabinet. I quickly scoffed down my breakfast and put on my shoes. But as soon as I ventured a step out of my house, I remembered that it was Take Your Pet to School day! So I quickly ran back inside and called for my parents to give my pet dragon...
