The Betrayal of the Water Buffalo
In Covenwoods, everybody had a small power. Like being able to add maths in their head quickly, or the power to run for an hour without stopping. But Sophie’s was extreme.
“It all started when I was young. Sipping milkshakes and dancing in the sun,” Sophie said. “Ellie and I never thought it would end up like this. I hate Covenwoods. I hate the rainy puddles. But it never helped. So the power consumed me. Every time I tried to hide it, it exposed itself. I can’t seem to control whether I can do it or not,”
“So you decided to just shoot everybody with water? And I thought you said you were hiding your power,” James giggled.
“Well-”
BANG! The door burst open and Boss. Eldo looms over them.
“Well, James? Did you get it out of her?” He growls.
“N-no,” James squeaks. “Not yet,”
Suddenly, their room began to crumble.
“Ahh!” Sophie screamed and scrambled out the door. Outside, demons were coming out of the ground like zombies from a movie and were flying around, their sharp claws threatening.
“AH!” James suddenly charged at a red demon and swung him onto the ground. Suddenly, there was a big moan and a gigantic thud. Sophie spun around and gasped. The Water Buffalo was dead! James glared at the buffalo.
“There has been an act of a traitor,” He spat.
