I was walking with my unusual new pet to school when I bumped into my teacher, Mr Costello.
He jumped.
"Goodness, May, what is THAT?" He looked like Jesus had just appeared in front of him.
"His name is Bon-Bon and he is a... a... griffin?" I myself was confused.
"Well, make sure he doesn't cause any trouble," Mr Costello warned, then walked off.
As we entered the school gates, kids playing handball and chess stopped playing and stared. One kid even got smacked in the face by a skipping rope, but she didn't care. She just rubbed her cheek and keeped staring. When I got to my classroom to hang my bag, Bon-Bon tripped over a lunchbox and tumbled onto the floor.
